Beanitos Chips Review
Sometimes I get the munchies for something crunchy & salty. Most people would grab for the nearest bag of potato chips. Others go for a corn chip, sometimes smothered in a salsa. I try to stay away from these particular foods. They contain lots of sugars & don’t keep me full very long.
That is why I was so pleased to get a case of Beanitos to review.
These chips are low glycemic which means they will not spike your blood sugar. That keeps you fuller & energized for longer after you eat. Beanitos are non-GMO & Gluten-free with 6 g Protein & 6 g Fiber. Beanitos Bean Chips are made from pinto & black beans so you can feel good about what you are snacking on & they are great for kids too.
There are a few delicious varieties to choose from including:
- Pinto Bean & Flax
- Black Bean
- Chipotle BBQ
- Pinto Bean, Flax & Cheddar Cheese
The first flavor I tried was the Black Bean. These have a lot of oil on them & would taste great with a guacamole sauce. There is a light dusting of salt on them that goes great with the crunchiness. Some people might find these chips bland but I love the short ingredient list & natural flavor.
The Chipotle BBQ flavor is quite spicy. I recommend this kind for people who enjoy a kick in their snacks. Kids might find it a bit harsh but hubby & I thought they were delicious.
The regular Pinto Bean & Flax are sort of dry but I love that they contain flax seeds. They are a great source of omegas! The Pinto Bean, Flax & Cheddar cheese variety is cheesy & salty. I think children would particularly like this kind. They taste unique & flavorful all on their own.
